This package provides an R interface for dygraphs, a fast, flexible JavaScript charting library for exploring time-series data sets. With ggplot2, you can, for instance, start building your plot with axes, then add points, then a line, a confidence interval, and so on. Ggplot2 is based on The Grammar of Graphics, a system for understanding graphics as composed of various layers that together create a complete plot. In the words of its creator, ggplot2 “takes care of many of the fiddly details that make plotting a hassle (like drawing legends) as well as providing a powerful model of graphics that makes it easy to produce complex multi-layered graphics.” That's why ggplot2 was born: to make building custom plots easier. While it's relatively easy to create standard plots in R, if you need to make a custom plot, things can get hairy fast. Scatterplot ( Hadley Wickham / Tidyverse ) Mode R Notebooks support three libraries on this list - ggplot2, Lattice, and Plotly - and more than 60 others that you can explore on our Notebook support page. It mostly just serves as a transition between levels. Despite how it sounds, this isn’t a big part of the game. Tasi is also equipped with a magic amulet that allows her to pass through dimensional portals. Hardcore players will want to get through it all without getting caught for their own pride, while more casual players should be able to just headbutt that brick wall until it crumbles. Now, I’m not sure if this is the case for every encounter (or if some encounters require multiple failures to remove the monster), but it’s a rather novel way to deal with gating the difficulty in your games without implementing a toggle. However, this also usually causes the pursuing enemy to despawn. If your fear gets to high, Tasi is possessed by an evil spirit and sent back to the previous checkpoint. Getting caught also increases fear, but also gives you a chance to smash the keyboard to escape. Sneaking by them, sitting in the dark, looking straight at them, you name it. Just about everything involving monsters increases your fear. Instead, a creeping darkness will envelop the screen when Tasi is afraid. Amnesia: Rebirth doesn’t have a traditional health or sanity bar. The major alternation to the formula comes from the game’s fail-state. It’s nothing new, but a tried and true formula that is no less effective in Amnesia: Rebirth. Puzzles all require a mix of physical manipulation and deductive reasoning based on environmental clues. These encounters come in the sneak around things and run away from things variety. Each area is spiced up with a few puzzles and infrequent enemy encounters. You poke around various long dark hallways, lighting candles and lamps with your limited supply of matches. If you’ve played Amnesia (or any of the games it inspired), you should be familiar with the basic mechanics. So before I get into all of that, I’ll recap the gameplay the best I can. It’s pretty impossible to talk about any of the game’s meat without revealing some key plot elements. I’ve become more cavalier about spoilers in my old age, but I’ll do my due diligence and stop talking about the plot for the time being. You’ll have to piece together various notes and contextual clues to piece together what happened and find the route to safety. She quickly finds the remnants of the party, though it becomes abundantly clear that a few days have already passed. Afflicted with the game’s namesake amnesia, she must travel through the desert in search of aid. A member of a mining expedition to Algeria, Tasi awakens in the ruins of their crashed plane deep in the desert. In Amnesia: Rebirth, you take the role of Tasi Trianon. So with Frictional returning to the helm with Amnesia: Rebirth, can they rekindle that spark that made the original a beacon in the dark and dingy corridors of indie horror? Or is the franchise not fit for new life? Developed by The Chinese Room (best known for Dear Esther), Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs was considered by many to fall short of the original’s. However, the first Amnesia sequel was considerably less well received. It solidified Frictional Games as a landmark horror studio capable of delivering multiple hits. That extra second or two to undo a latch, open a door, or turn a lever made the game’s relentless enemies infinitely more terrifying.įrictional Games would go on to follow Amnesia: The Dark Descent with SOMA, one of the greatest and most thought-provoking horror titles of all time. It was a perfect fit for Frictional’s proprietary HPL Engine, which had the player moving objects manually by clicking and dragging. No guns, no combat, just running and hiding. Frictional Games sought to take things in the complete opposite direction. Horror at a time when horror was becoming more and more action-focused. Outlast, Layers of Fear, Slender, and countless others all owe their success to the foundation laid by Amnesia. When Amnesia: The Dark Descent hit stores in 2010, it shifted the landscape of horror in a way that lasts to this day. The Greenworks PRO 2300 PSI TruBrushless Electric Pressure Washer is an excellent entry level pressure washer for homeowners of all kinds. Some users have reported failing to reach the advertised 2700 PSI, which could have to do with water pressure or the electric engine. The other issue has to do with drops in power during use. It protrudes forward and isn’t as stacked as competing units. There are only a couple of downsides to choosing the Ryobi 2700 PSI Electric Pressure Washer. It also ships with a plethora of useful nozzles that are easy to connect and disconnect on the fly. There is even a convenient, separate detergent tank that makes adding cleaners and bleach easier than ever, which helps up your overall cleaning power. That is handy because the design of this unit is a little bulky and cumbersome though it only weighs 40 lbs. The pressure washer comes already installed on a useful handcart that helps maneuver it around your home. The Ryobi also comes with an ample 35-foot hose that is perfect for reaching hard-to-reach places. The electric motor is easy to keep up with and offers fewer problems than the old gasoline engines. The hospital was the only pediatric trauma center in the study area and the respective children population at risk was 84.500–88.100 during the study time, according to the official statistics by Statistics Finland. This population-based study consisted of 300 children younger than 16 years old, who had a proximal humerus fracture in the Oulu University Hospital district between 20. The purpose of this research was to study the local incidence and treatment trends of proximal humerus fractures in children. Pediatric upper extremity fractures in general have increased since the beginning of the 2000s, but closer epidemiological description and the recent treatment trends of the proximal humerus fractures are mostly unknown. This technique is reported to have no increased association to skin irritation or infections and the bone healing is effective and the functional outcome appears to be good. Plate and screw fixation are rarely justified however, many surgeons recommend the elastic stable intramedullary nailing (ESIN) technique because it is stable enough and safe regarding the surrounding soft tissues. Percutaneous Kirschner wire pinning is the most usual fixation in children, often combined with closed reduction. Surgical fixation has traditionally been recommended in proximal humerus fractures when closed reduction is unsatisfactory due to interposed long head of biceps tendon, deltoid muscle or capsule, and in cases of nerve or artery injuries. Persistent deformity, such as shortening, may decrease the outcome. However, the more displaced the fractures and the older the children are, the poorer the results will be. Further, the periosteum is metabolically active in the immature skeleton therefore, bone healing and spontaneous remodeling of proximal humerus fractures in children are usually good and non-operative treatment preferred. The proximal growth plate of the humerus is responsible for 80% of the bone’s longitudinal growth. Displacement and angular deformity can be summarized using the Neer classification. Fractures involving the growth plate are classified with the Salter-Harris (SH) fracture classification. Diagnosis is based on plain radiographs and fractures are classified according to their severity and anatomic location. The fractures are either metaphyseal, which occur mostly in children 5–12 years of age, or epiphyseal separations. They are usually caused by sport injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or birth trauma, while the usual mechanism of injury is hyperextension combined with external rotation of the shoulder. Proximal humerus fractures in children comprise approximately 2% of all pediatric fractures. However, their operative treatment increased compared to nonoperative treatment, but the evidence supporting that trend remains unclear. ConclusionĬontrary to most upper extremity fractures in children, proximal humerus fractures did not increase during the long study period. The most usual recreational activities were horse riding, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and trampolining. Higher age was also associated with operative treatment ( P = 0.002). Bayonet displacement increased the risk of surgical fixation up to 16-fold (95% CI 4.8–51.4, P < 0.001) in a multivariate analysis when adjusted with other potential risk factors. The majority (92%) was treated nonoperatively, however, there was an increase of operative fixation from 0 to 16% during the study time (Difference 16, 95% CI 0.3 to 34.9%, P = 0.045). The annual incidence of childhood proximal humerus fractures was mean 31.4/100,000 and no variation trend was found. Annual incidence was based on the child population at risk, which changed between 84.500 and 88.100 in the study time. Radiographs were reviewed, and patients, injuries, treatments, and outcomes were comprehensively studied. MethodsĪll 300 children, aged < 16 years, who suffered from a proximal humerus fracture in the catchment area of Oulu University Hospital, Finland, between 20, were included. The aim was to study the incidence and treatment trends of proximal humerus fractures in children. However, recent trends of proximal humerus fractures are not analyzed yet. In general, upper extremity fractures have increased in children. Proximal humerus fractures comprise approximately 2% of all pediatric fractures. Harnage tells SYFY WIRE that the entire production team “had real visions of changing the world by doing something with real social ramifications." Though he feels that the show fell short of its goal, he takes comfort in the fact that it “got kids to step up further and start recycling." Phil Harnage was the senior staff writer of DIC Entertainment when Ted Turner, the billionaire TV producer and founder of TBS and CNN, approached the company with his idea. Today it is perhaps best remembered for its catchy theme song, whose lyrics many millennials still know by heart. Though Captain Planet was never as popular as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it performed well enough to run for six seasons from 1990 to 1996 - with the series run from 1993 to 1996 being retitled The New Adventures of Captain Planet and airing on Turner Program Services - and have a spin-off video game, action figure line, Marvel comics limited series, and promotional crossover with Burger King. 15, 1990, and followed the story of five teenagers with magical rings (the Planeteers) fighting to save the world from pollution with the help of a "superhero" (Captain Planet) who formed when the Planeteers' power came together. There is a huge difference between a singer who simply belts out a song that is on a page in front of them, and someone who can convey an entire experience with their voice. So, not a song about a poor girl, but a song of hope and how you can rise up no matter how far down you started. She's the one sitting in the drivers seat at the end. She didn't let the naysayers and judgers stop her. She not only stayed alive, she turned her hard beginnings around, became self sufficient, successful and someone with respect for herself. And the powerful spirit of a poor young girl being abandoned to her future with only a red dress and her wits to keep her alive. Takes me to the deep South and the poverty of some who lived thru truly hard times. This song captivates me still, after 50+ years. But it is a completely different song than the other one that sounds slapped together in a few takes without a thought for the meaning. The only reason it was remade was to scoop up a boatload of money from a more modern and accepting audience. Just listening for the 784,654th time.and it's just perfect in every way. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. “Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. |
